Back From Montreal

I’m back from Montreal and here is what I’ve concluded:
1. Running away from your problems solves nothing
2. Surround yourself with the best of the best, because when you surround yourself with wolves you begin to howl like the wolves.

Montreal itself was so-so. I came during a time when people left Montreal to go elsewhere, so it became busy as I was leaving. When I arrived to see my buddy I found that he changed from when I last saw him; he was depressed and desperate for a savior. We spent the time just chilling and ventured to the bars on rue Sainte-Catherine and Crescent street. He didn’t work, so once we paid cover for a place we stayed at that place, even if it was dead, and let me tell you . . . it was dead. I did meet a few guys who are in the Montreal Lair. The guy I was with told me that the Montreal Lair is a bunch of geeks who are overly confident, though there are a couple of good guys. The guys I saw from the Montreal Lair weren’t all that amazing when it came to approaching girls , though seemed like great fun to be around which is what counts the most. To make the most of my trip I decided to do the tourist thing. I checked out Old Montreal (beautiful architecture), L’Oratoire Saint-Joseph (amazing architecture as well), and the Biodome (great fun).

When I venture back to Montreal I’ll make sure that something big is going on before hand (i.e. Jazz Fest, Formula 1, etc.) and meet up with the “better” guys in the lair/community.
